Book Talk with Marion Nestle, Author of "Soda Politics"

Marion Nestle is the Paulette Goddard Professor in the Department of Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health at New York University. She is the author of "Soda Politics", and personal hero of two of CHIL's board members: Carol and Marissa! The two of us got to see Marion speak at a Book Talk hosted by Foodstand near Union Square on Tuesday night. She talked about the might of the soda industry and how frustrating it was that we couldn't make money by keeping people healthy. She also revealed how much she loves ice cream.

She urged all of us to lobby for sound policy, and ended her talk with a charge: "Go out and make trouble!"  Learn more about Marion's work here and an interview she did with Foodstand here
